An interesting new concept was recently announced in the point-and-shot digital camera market that is aimed at getting all of us to print out more of the images we are capturing.
A relatively new company called Jazz-Digitac is launching a line of very affordable ($15-$20) media card-less digital cameras that feature a retractable USB plug that can be inserted into a retail photo kiosk to instantly print the images captured.
The cameras hold approximately 72 pictures and come in a variety of colors and designs and all feature a 1.5-inch LCD screen. Once the images are uploaded to the kiosk you can either erase from the camera’s internal memory to begin shooting again or, if you haven’t uploaded/saved them to your computer, you can do that after you’ve printed them out. The company also makes a kid’s line using the same premise.
